The general meeting of the O.C.C. took place on May 20, 2022 in Jena - see also page News.
On May 21, two excursions were carried out to the orchid locations in the area of Jena. In the morning we were in the Kleinertal, there we saw many flowering Cypripedium calceolus and Listera ovata. After lunch we were on the former military training area near Rothenstein, where we also found an impressive orchid flora. The large number of flowering Anacamptis pyramidalis was particularly impressive. A few years ago these were hardly found in this area.
On Sunday, after the official end of the meeting, some of us were still in the Leutratal, where at the end of our hike we found a blooming coral root (Corallorhiza trifida).
